Charlatans Teaching Knife Techniques

Charlatans Teaching Knife Techniques

Charlatans do exists, and in Martial Arts are found everywhere. Please be aware of Martial Art Impostors like the ones you are about to see. These Charlatans are making real instructors of Martial Arts look bad.
A Self Defense technique should be effective, should be able to save your life. A good instructor would teach it, explain you what you are doing and then teach you the mechanics of every step to finally have you try it out.

Knives and Martial Arts

There are several Martial Art Styles that deal with self defense techniques against knives, most teach you the basic moves and some others go in details. Krav Maga which is not considered a Martial Art by many deals with all kinds of Knife attacks, they teach you to save your life, they teach you how to survive under dangerous situations.

If you have years of training or if you are a black belt… What would you do NOW if you turn around and there is a guy coming at you with a knife? Would you be ready to react? What would you do if he tries to attack you with it? How about if you go out to the street and someone approaches you with a knife and there is no escape?? Think about these real scenarios, because it might happen.

When you are dealing with knives you have to understand that ONE cut can kill you or injure you pretty bad, that is why you need to take it seriously. Unfortunately many of these instructors get fake certifications and some even fabricate them themselves.

Please leave your comments below and share this, we have to stop this movement of Fake instructors.

  1. Jim Dryburgh says:

I’ve trained with Vlad. Why don’t you go up to Toronto and tell him it doesn’t work?

It’s not really a knife technique that he’s doing. He could just as easily make it against punches, or clubs, but it’s designed to develop internal motion and power.

There’s a story Rainier Shulte told us about Ed Parker doing Leaping Crane at a seminar in Europe. Someone stood up, a doctor, and insisted that you couldn’t really make that technique work, that the angle of the shot to the kidney wouldn’t get that reaction. Parker called him up, and after they carried him off the stage, the seminar continued.

It’s all about movement. In reality, you’d run, grab a chair, throw things. It wouldn’t be pretty, and nobody wants to see you do that.

no wonder russia despite it’s size and aggressive cold war style military expansion can’t totally conquer the brave Ukrainian people. It’s not fake if you look at it from the ruskis point of view. to them it’s perfectly effective. hehe.
