Tricking Basics for Beginning Trickers!!

I have received several emails about Tricking, some of the are black belts. I consider Tricking as a new division in Martial Arts where the practitioner pushes himself to the limit in speed, timing, accuracy and technique. I think all changes are good, I think this is the evolution of a part of martial arts.

Once I was speaking with a well known martial artist who is a black belt, and he told me he just did not like Tricking because he could not do those high-speed kicks and flips, he was honest. I have received many complains about Tricking being a stupid division that is taking the essence of traditional martial arts.

Years ago when the Canadian Karate Master Jean Frenette started presenting his “musical karate kata” many were speechless. That was the beginning of a martial art movement so strong that would create a new division in every martial art tournament.

Here is a great video if you want to get started with basic Tricking techniques, you need to know basic kicks and develop a good balance.
